Suntility was founded to provide the ongoing operations, maintenance and management services for a significant portion of the 200+ My Generation Energy solar installations following the landmark Green Communities Act. The company has since expanded to cover many of the largest installations in the region, including wind and solar, providing system owners and host customers a comprehensive suite of solutions to optimize their renewable energy projects. Suntility is privately-held and dedicated to providing clients essential clean energy services at the highest level of professionalism and quality possible to maximize project returns and community benefit.
Michael Stone, Manager
Mr. Stone’s experience in renewable energy spans policy, strategy, operations and finance having held several positions at leading solar energy and development company My Generation Energy. Before joining Suntility Electric LLC as a Manager, Michael’s positions at My Generation Energy included Commercial PV Manager, where Michael worked with leading businesses and non-profits in the region implementing the highest quality solar installations, as well as Policy & Regulations Manager where Michael advocated on behalf of renewable energy proponents to advance issues such as net metering, interconnection, solar renewable energy certificates and tax policy before the state legislature and administration. As a solar representative to the DG Working Group, Michael negotiated improvements to the Massachusetts utility interconnection tariff working closely with key stakeholders including the MA Attorney General’s Office, the MA Clean Energy Center, the MA Department of Energy Resources, the four investor-owned utilities, co-generation providers, wind developers as well as customers and cities. The Group’s final report was delivered to the Department of Public Utilities following a series of technical sessions and stakeholder meetings. Nearly every suggestion made by the Working Group was adopted in the updated interconnection tariffs approved by the Department.
